Born in the former USSR, after graduation from Kiev Linguistic University he joined the UN office in Ukraine in 1993 (working on the United Nations Development Project). He then spent a few years traveling and getting acquainted with Western Business Practices - first in Western Europe and then in the USA, Australia and Canada.
